On Friday night I had the pleasure of photographing The Chicks formerly known as The Dixie Chicks at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. With a packed house I can say these ladies put on a hell of a show.
This was my first time seeing The Chicks in concert but I grew up listening to them so I wondered how many of the classic songs they would play. I could just look at a website such as setlist.fm for the list but that would just ruin the surprise aspect for me.
Opening the night with the powerful new single Gaslighter, they played a great mix of new and older songs for the crowd to enjoy. A few of the newer songs played were Texas man, Tights On My Boat, and Julianna Calm Down. A few of the older songs they played were Ready To Run, Wide Open Spaces, Cowboy Take Me Away, and Not Ready To Make nice. They also played a few of their hit cover songs like Travelin' Soldier (Bruce Robinson cover) and Landslide (Fleetwood Mac cover). Ending the night they played another classic hit and well know song Goodbye Earl.
Here is the setlist from The Chicks show in Edmonton.
