By Katherine Colwell Hot off the release of their new album “Barbara,” Old Dominion brought their “How Good is That,” tour to Toronto. The band is known for their feel-good brand of country music and right from the very first note, lead vocalist Matt Ramsey had fans singing along all night. The group also includes Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung, and Brad Tursi. Though based out of Nashville, the group has always felt right at home in Canada; Saturday’s show being the second of back-to-back nights in Ontario. Old Dominion’s set showed us why they have been country mainstays since their debut album in 2015. The multi-award winning group are also accomplished songwriters, having songs penned by a plethora of artists including Sam Hunt, The Band Perry and Luke Bryan, Saturday’s set included a Kenny Chesney cover of “Save it For a Rainy Day,” co-written by Matthew Ramsey and Brad Tursi of OD. Opening the night was Redferrin. The White House, Tennessee native commanded the stage from the moment he stepped on it. The crowd belted out “Can’t Help Myself,” a song Redferring co wrote with Brian Kelly and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line but was taken to the top of the Canadian charts by Dean Brody and The Reklaws.
