My Chemical Romance w/ Pixies @ Rogers Centre (Toronto) -August 22, 2025

The night started off with one of the most influential bands since the 80’s, well-renowned Pixies took the stage. They played some of their hits such as Debaser, Hey and Where is My Mind? They put on such an incredible show! Gerard had mentioned later in the evening that Pixies were one of his favourite bands, a huge influence to MCR and he couldn’t believe that they were opening for them.
My Chemical Romance took the stage by storm with their black parade costumes, theatrics, pyrotechnics and special FX. They started the show by performing their album “The Black Parade” in its entirety. What a treat for an elder emo like myself as well as for all fans young and old. There were actors, opera singers, explosive special effects and fire! They put on an incredible show that I would never forget. Not only were their vocals and instruments top notch, the acting and theatrics they put into this show felt like a full-on musical production. The stage production was incredible, I couldn’t believe I was there to experience this epic show.
During intermission cellist Clarice Jensen took to the B-stage which was in the middle of the floor among the audience and played her haunting but beautiful piece from A to B

Later the My Chem boys took to the B-stage in their civies and performed some of their well-known hits like Helena, I’m Not Okay (I Promise), The Ghost of You and the list goes on. I couldn’t believe they basically played 2 full shows and what epic performances they gave for both. What a night to be part of that I will never forget!
