4/27/2026 Lorna Shore w/ Signs of the Swarm & Paleface Swiss @ Edmonton Convention Centre - April 24th, 2026Read NowPhotos by Kylee Thompson Photography Opening the night was Signs of the Swarm out of Pittsburgh, and they didn’t waste any time getting things moving. The pit kicked in early and basically stayed in motion through their set, with a steady wave of people jumping in and out and the floor filling out right away. It set the pace fast and just kept rolling without really letting up. Next up was Paleface Swiss from Switzerland, and the intensity noticeably jumped from there. Their set came in heavier and more aggressive in its flow, and the reaction was immediate. The pit opened wider, movement spread further across the floor, and more people fully committed into it compared to earlier in the night. By the time Lorna Shore from New Jersey came on, the room was already fully primed for what was about to happen. The Edmonton Convention Centre stayed packed and locked in through their entire set. The sound hit with a lot of weight live, with that layered intensity coming through strong across the whole room and filling the space from front to back. One of the most constant parts of the night was the crowd surfing, it never really let up. From start to finish there was always someone going over the barricade, which kept the motion in the room nonstop and added to how relentless the whole set felt. The Pain Remains songs came across really strong live, and the crowd stayed into it the whole time. The energy never really dropped, it just stayed consistent through it all. By the end, it felt like one continuous build of energy from start to finish of the show, with the crowd and bands essentially feeding off each other the entire time. What a hell of a night!
