By Katherine Colwell In a day and age where genres are becoming more and more blurred, “The Crooner & The Cowboy Tour,” brought two artists with their own distinct genres together in perfect harmony. Toronto’s Budweiser Stage,” provided the perfect backdrop of a warm summer night for a show that had the audience singing along all night. Georgia’s Leon Bridges brought the smooth moves and an even smoother sound. From the moment he hit the stage Bridge’s commanded the night with dance moves to accompany his set that had fans clapping and grooving along. The multi-talented singer, songwriter and. Producer ensure to include hits spanning his career from his 2015 debut album “Coming Home,” to last year’s release Leon.” Not to be outdone, was Charley Crockett; bringing a co-headlining set of his traditional country sound. The Texas born artist played hit after hit, backed by a talented band including a trumpet for some extra special moments. Not to be outdone was Crockett’s own guitar playing, proving not only can he sing but also hold his own as a picker. The high energy cowboy had the crowd in his hand especially when his hit “Welcome to Hard Times,” echoed through the venue. Kicking off the night was Alberta native Noeline Hofmann, the Canadian was hitting all the right notes back in her home country after a busy summer touring the states and Europe. She is quickly becoming a house-hold name in folk music after being featured on Zach Bryan’s “Purple Gas,” and her strong soulful vocals showed us why. Charley CrockettLeon BridgesNoeline Hofmann
