Here are a few words and photos Janice captured for us on Sunday at this years Edmonton Folk Music Festival.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss

Grammy nominated duo took the stage at twilight, setting the mood with the tune Rich Woman surrounded by a sea of candles. Plant sprinkled a little Zeppelin tunes to the crowd’s delight. When the Levee Breaks and the Gallows Pole had fans on cloud nine. That was worth challenging the mighty Gallagher hill!

Danielle Ponder

Danielle Ponder traded her prosecutor career for the chance to share her message with her powerful voice. Advocacy or break up song, everything she sings brings out the passion she can make you feel, even to the top of the hill. ​

The Heavy Heavy ​

The Brighton UK band took the stage in the mid afternoon heat Sunday and had the crowd omits feet singing along. Great harmonies and sound gave their set a fun atmosphere, joking with the crowd that they had to fly all the way to Edmonton to share the stage with Robert Plant from just down the road!
