CONCERTS &
EVENTS
Photos and Write Up by Kylee Thompson The recent Evanescence concert in Edmonton, Alberta, was more than just an electrifying night of music, it was a celebration of women at the forefront of rock and metal. With all three bands led by formidable female vocalists, the event delivered a dynamic and empowering experience. Opening the night, The Warning showcased their impressive blend of youthful energy and modern rock. The three sisters captivated the audience with an intense performance that held their attention from start to finish. Known for merging hard rock with poignant lyrical themes, The Warning offered a set that was both musically tight and emotionally resonant. Next up was Halestorm, fronted by the incomparable Lzzy Hale, whose fiery vocals and masterful guitar work were nothing short of electrifying. The band unleashed a whirlwind of energy, fusing hard rock riffs with a rebellious spirit. Lzzy’s commanding stage presence and remarkable vocal range drew the crowd in, creating a personal and raw connection. A highlight of the evening was when Lzzy and Amy Lee joined forces for a duet of “Break In.” Halestorm’s setlist was a powerful mix of hard-hitting anthems and introspective ballads, featuring fan favourites like “I Miss the Misery” and “Love Bites.” Finally, Evanescence took the stage, with Amy Lee delivering a performance that was both hauntingly beautiful and fiercely powerful. Her enchanting voice filled the venue, seamlessly transitioning between piano-driven ballads and heavier, gothic-infused rock anthems. The band’s set, featuring beloved classics and newer tracks, highlighted their signature blend of symphonic metal and emotional depth. Amy's vocals soared above the instrumentation, reaffirming her status as one of the genre’s most iconic voices. Standout tracks included “Bring Me to Life,” “My Immortal,” and “Going Under.” The evening served as a testament to the strength and talent of women in rock, with each band offering a unique yet complementary experience. Fans left the show feeling inspired by the extraordinary vocal power and stage presence of these three incredible female-fronted acts. EvanescenceHalestormThe Warning
