In a day and age where genres are becoming more and more blurred, “The Crooner & The
Cowboy Tour,” brought two artists with their own distinct genres together in perfect harmony.
Toronto’s Budweiser Stage,” provided the perfect backdrop of a warm summer night for a show
that had the audience singing along all night.

Georgia’s Leon Bridges brought the smooth moves and an even smoother sound. From the
moment he hit the stage Bridge’s commanded the night with dance moves to accompany his set
that had fans clapping and grooving along. The multi-talented singer, songwriter and. Producer
ensure to include hits spanning his career from his 2015 debut album “Coming Home,” to last
year’s release Leon.”

Not to be outdone, was Charley Crockett; bringing a co-headlining set of his traditional country
sound. The Texas born artist played hit after hit, backed by a talented band including a trumpet
for some extra special moments. Not to be outdone was Crockett’s own guitar playing, proving
not only can he sing but also hold his own as a picker. The high energy cowboy had the crowd in
his hand especially when his hit “Welcome to Hard Times,” echoed through the venue.
Kicking off the night was Alberta native Noeline Hofmann, the Canadian was hitting all the right
notes back in her home country after a busy summer touring the states and Europe. She is
quickly becoming a house-hold name in folk music after being featured on Zach Bryan’s “Purple
Gas,” and her strong soulful vocals showed us why.

My Chemical Romance w/ Pixies @ Rogers Centre (Toronto) -August 22, 2025

The night started off with one of the most influential bands since the 80’s, well-renowned Pixies took the stage. They played some of their hits such as Debaser, Hey and Where is My Mind? They put on such an incredible show! Gerard had mentioned later in the evening that Pixies were one of his favourite bands, a huge influence to MCR and he couldn’t believe that they were opening for them.
My Chemical Romance took the stage by storm with their black parade costumes, theatrics, pyrotechnics and special FX. They started the show by performing their album “The Black Parade” in its entirety. What a treat for an elder emo like myself as well as for all fans young and old. There were actors, opera singers, explosive special effects and fire! They put on an incredible show that I would never forget. Not only were their vocals and instruments top notch, the acting and theatrics they put into this show felt like a full-on musical production. The stage production was incredible, I couldn’t believe I was there to experience this epic show.
During intermission cellist Clarice Jensen took to the B-stage which was in the middle of the floor among the audience and played her haunting but beautiful piece from A to B

Later the My Chem boys took to the B-stage in their civies and performed some of their well-known hits like Helena, I’m Not Okay (I Promise), The Ghost of You and the list goes on. I couldn’t believe they basically played 2 full shows and what epic performances they gave for both. What a night to be part of that I will never forget!

Creed’s return to Edmonton on August 19 brought Rogers Place alive with a blend of anticipation and nostalgia. Their set flowed effortlessly, weaving together their biggest hits and deeper album cuts in a way that showcased both the band’s raw power and musical depth. Scott Stapp’s vocals carried a mix of grit and emotion that resonated through the arena, while Mark Tremonti’s guitar work added precision, fire, and texture to every track.
The night began with two strong openers that set the bar high. Mammoth WVH delivered a polished, modern rock performance led by Wolfgang Van Halen’s heartfelt vocals and skilled guitar playing. Big Wreck followed with their trademark mix of soaring melodies and heavy riffs, reminding the crowd why their music has stood the test of time.
When Creed launched into their most well-loved anthems, the audience erupted in song, matching the band’s energy from start to finish. The setlist moved seamlessly between hard-hitting rockers and more reflective moments, creating a show that felt both familiar and revitalized. By the time the final notes faded, it was clear this night wasn’t just about revisiting the past, it proved that Creed’s music continues to strike a powerful chord with fans old and new.
